Top Crop

Posted on April 14, 2014

Striped Crop Top - Forever 21 // Lace Sheer Shorts - Gift // Sandal Wedges - Payless //
Light Blue Jacket - Forever 21

This is my first ever crop top and I'm really pleased with it. I wasn't sure if I could pull off the proportions, but these beautiful lace shorts really pull this look together. I don't know why I waited so long to purchase one - I've been missing out! The crop top is definitely going to be a spring/summer staple for me. Even if you're not used to the short length and you're hesitant about it, you should seriously try one on and strut your stuff.

Groundbreaking.

Floral Embroidery Blouse - Forever 21 // Navy Asymmetrical Skort - Forever 21 //
Nude Heels - Vince Camuto

Whenever spring comes around, I can't help but think about the iconic quote from Devil Wears Prada. "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." I've been obsessed with this top because of its subtle floral print, and it has the cutest petal cutouts on the sleeves and neckline. I've also hopped on the asymmetrical skort wagon! I might be a bit late, but I was glad to have found a Zara knockoff at Forever 21.

And I'm so excited to say that I got accepted to Fashion Institute of Technology! Watch out, because in a few months, my posts might be coming from New York :-)

He loves me, he loves me not

Chiffon Button Up - Forever 21 // Yellow Knit Sweater - Forever 21 // Denim Jacket - Forever 21 // Floral Skater Skirt - Forever 21 // Suede Shoes - Marshalls // Cat Pins - Urban Outfitters

This is a look I wore for Valentine's day, but it's such a casual look that I can't help wearing it to school as well. I've heard many people say that putting an outfit together all from Forever 21 looks cheap, but I think it works as long as you pair them wisely! Mix textures and colors (like yellow knit and cream chiffon) and simply experiment until you find the perfect match - the brand/store shouldn't matter! This is also probably one of the few looks on my blog where I'm not wearing my beloved creepers. As rad as they are, I'm so glad I found the perfect pair of suede shoes to add a soft, feminine touch to any outfit.

The weather is finally warming up and I'm so excited to bring out my shorts and skirts. What's something you're going to be sporting in the warmer weather?

Snowpocalypse

Posted on February 3, 2014

Gray Wool Turtleneck - Korea // Pleather Skirt Overalls - Forever 21 // Winter Parka - Hollister // Suede Boots - Eric Michael Shannon

I don't usually wear turtlenecks, but this one has a loose neck so it doesn't make me feel too constricted. And though it looks like a skirt, I'm actually wearing overalls! My main reason for getting these was because I knew that I could wear it over a simple tee or wear it under a sweater like this to act as a skirt. Two in one - what isn't there to love?

A few days ago it finally snowed in Georgia after three years of snowless winters. Although it was aesthetically pleasing, the roads were a mess. I hope everyone's safe!

Mad for Steve Madden

Posted on January 26, 2014

Peter Pan Collar Blouse - Charlotte Russe // Salmon Blazer - Forever 21 //
Gray Wool Shorts - Forever 21 // Steve Madden Bclare Satchel - Macy's // Skull Bracelets - Gift // Gray Converse - Korea

This Steve Madden bag is perfection. I remember writing a previous blog post about how I could spend hundreds on shoes but not even ten dollars on a bag, and it still stands true to this day. Unfortunately, my refusal to buy a bag began to show on my old one, so I got this beauty for Christmas. It's really unique and I fall in love with it every day. The front and back are cognac, the sides are tan, and bottom is black. There's a tassel on the front that acts as a zipper, and instead of one zipper on the top, you pull two zippers away from the center to open it. (Clearly struggling to describe this...)
And of course, an outfit wouldn't be complete without a touch of skulls somewhere.

Plenty of Pleather

Posted on January 16, 2014

Cheap Monday Tank - Gift // Biker-style Jacket - H&M //
Pleather Shorts - H&M // Creepers - T.U.K.

Just a short post to let you guys know that I am still alive!
I have somewhat of an obsession with pleather, so to match up the pleather lapels and shoulder detailing on the jacket, I paired it up with pleather shorts. The cool thing about the shorts is that the front and back are different fabrics - a unique twist that I love. I received this amazing Cheap Monday Tank from my friend Grace, and I can't thank her enough. (Cheap Monday - especially their jeans - are to die for).

I'm also really happy to announce that I am now a Teen Vogue Fashion Click Blogger! You can check out their site here! Surprisingly my blog came up a lot this week between friends and teachers, and it feels so rewarding to know that I have a lot support over something I love to do.

I hope everyone stays warm!

P.S. The biker jacket is now on sale for $25! It's a product I definitely recommend, and it's such a steal, considering it used to be $60.

Metallic Sweater - Forever 21 // Navy Skater Skirt - Forever 21 // Burgundy Tights - GAP //
Biker-style Jacket - H&M // Creepers - T.U.K.

My laptop had a nasty virus that wouldn't allow me to upload pictures on blogspot for the longest time. But as you can see, I'm back in business! I got some sweet deals on Thursday and Black Friday, but I'm so worn out from shopping 4+ hours for two days straight. It was totally worth it, though, as this $60 jacket shows (I got it for $25!). I also started getting into drinks other than fraps at Starbucks. If you have any recommendations on what drinks I should try, please comment down below!
